We Begin At The End by Chris Whitaker

Hang on to your Stetsons and hold on to your heart...this book will break it for sure...Wow! This was absolutely brilliant. I had heard the rumors and I can confirm they are in fact true!  You will want to read this.

Why would a thirteen year old girl go around calling herself an outlaw? Self preservation that is why. Duchess has seen more heartache than most people do in a lifetime..by age thirteen....she is one tough cookie and she will do whatever it is takes to survive and protect her little brother Robin from the pure hell they have been through.

Small town U.S.A....right here...your police chief that you grew up with.. your neighbor still stuck in his glory of his high school days...mustang and all...the neighborhood butcher that everyone knew whether they wanted to or not...and Star..the shining star that lost her light..

The police chief is best friends with a murderer that has been in jail for 30 years...because he believes in him...is he being played the fool?

My emotions were all over the place with this book. It was a mixture of sometimes life just isn't fair...yet this is life.. the good, the bad and the ugly. This story was so well written and unraveled so perfectly. It was a mixture of family drama and mystery that will have you hoping against all odds this little family will make it.

Huge shoutout to Henry Holt and Company for my gorgeous gifted copy that I loved! This is a book that will stay in your mind for a long time.

The Echo Wife by Sarah Gailey

You are happily married...until you aren't...isn't that the way it always goes? Your husband thinks you are "almost" perfect, but there is just something missing...so he decides to take care of that...by cloning you.. Yes you heard me correctly....

So of course when the cheater ends up dead.. yep dead.. well Evelyn and her clone need to fix this mess he got them all in...and that is when the cray begins.. Oh you thought the cray already happened? No you just wait...more to come..

Wow! This was one wild ride and I loved it. This book was so unique, so intriguing that I found myself thinking about it all the time. At work, in the car, while making dinner...hell I think I dreamed about it. Anyways, you get the point. I couldn't wait to pick this book back up.

I highly suggest going into this as blind as you can. I guess technically this is classified as sci-fi but I really think everyone will enjoy it. It somehow doesn't seem as "out there" as it sounds. Highly entertaining and very clever. This was my first book by this author and I loved her writing style!

Huge shoutout to Tor for my gorgeous gifted copy! Loved it!!!

Do No Harm by Christina McDonald

A medical thriller with a unique storyline that kept me intrigued from start to finish?! Yes please! Wow! I loved The Night Olivia Fell and I loved this book also. This book will have you questioning your judgement of right from wrong....trust me you will!  Would  you do what Emma did?  Sometimes it is just a gray area...

A doctor, a wife, a mother...Emma is all...mostly she is a human being and she has to do what her entire soul is telling her to do...save her child....even if her husband is a detective.

A physician takes an oath to Do No Harm, yet is that always as clear cut as one might think? What if it is something that indirectly might do someone harm? Oh this book had me invested from the very first page. So many important topics addressed, yet in a manner that it didn't overwhelm the storyline- the cost of medical treatment, opioid addiction, naloxone use- just because you have it, doesn't mean it will save you...devastating but true... I love that she worked that all into the story. So many fine details that I really appreciated.

As an ER nurse..do I think this is realistic? Absolutely! This taut thriller that kept me glued to the pages could really happen and probably has....

Huge shoutout to Kathleen Carter Communications for my gorgeous gifted copy!
