Wrong Place Wrong Time by Gillian McAllister

About the book:

Can you stop a murder after it’s already happened?

Late October. After midnight. You’re waiting up for your seventeen-year-old son. He’s late. As you watch from the window, he emerges, and you realize he isn’t alone: he’s walking toward a man, and he’s armed.

You can’t believe it when you see him do it: your funny, happy teenage son, he kills a stranger, right there on the street outside your house. You don’t know who. You don’t know why. You only know your son is now in custody. His future shattered.

That night you fall asleep in despair. All is lost. Until you wake . . .

. . . and it is yesterday.

And then you wake again . . .

. . . and it is the day before yesterday.

Every morning you wake up a day earlier, another day before the murder. With another chance to stop it. Somewhere in the past lies an answer. The trigger for this crime—and you don’t have a choice but to find it . . .

MY THOUGHTS

Thank you Partner, @bibliolifestyle @williammorrowbooks for this gorgeous gifted copy!! I am so excited to be on this book tour!!! This book is out now!! Pub date was August 2ndπŸ₯³

I loved how we were traveling 🧳 back in time! Was it a time loop? ⏰ Could Jen change the outcome of the future? 🀷‍♀️ How did she even get into this strange and terrifying situation??πŸ€”

Jen is trying to stop a murder… no pressure there! 😩 Except she is all on her own… because.. nobody believes her! NOBODY!! πŸ₯Ί

This is one of the most unique and intriguing thrillers I have read in a long time!!! Highly recommend!! ⏰ I never dreamed this would end the way it did… and wow!!! Holy twist!!! It’s a big one and I never saw it coming!! That is the best kind! πŸ˜‰

⏰⏰ Have you read this one? Do you think you would change events in your life if you had the power to go back and do so? πŸ€”Is this on your TBR?πŸ™ŒπŸ™Œ

Nora Goes Off Script by Annabel Monaghan

About the book:

Named one of the Best Beach Reads of Summer 2022 by The Washington Post - USA Today - Cosmopolitan - Southern Living - Country Living - Business Insider - Buzzfeed - Book Riot - The Augusta Chronicle

Nora's life is about to get a rewrite...

Nora Hamilton knows the formula for love better than anyone. As a romance channel screenwriter, it's her job. But when her too-good-to work husband leaves her and their two kids, Nora turns her marriage's collapse into cash and writes the best script of her life. No one is more surprised than her when it's picked up for the big screen and set to film on location at her 100-year-old-home. When former Sexiest Man Alive, Leo Vance, is cast as her ne'er do well husband Nora's life will never be the same.

The morning after shooting wraps and the crew leaves, Nora finds Leo on her porch with a half-empty bottle of tequila and a proposition. He'll pay a thousand dollars a day to stay for a week. The extra seven grand would give Nora breathing room, but it's the need in his eyes that makes her say yes. Seven days: it's the blink of an eye or an eternity depending on how you look at it. Enough time to fall in love. Enough time to break your heart.

Filled with warmth, wit, and wisdom, Nora Goes Off Script is the best kind of love story--the real kind where love is complicated by work, kids, and the emotional baggage that comes with life. For Nora and Leo, this kind of love is bigger than the big screen.

MY THOUGHTS

This book managed to take me on an emotional roller coaster 🎒 and I didn’t even realize it until the end! 🀷‍♀️

Have you ever gotten so angry 😠 at a character… that you really didn’t even realize you were that unglued about it? Well πŸ™Œ @annabelmonaghan was able to do just that…and I LOVED it!! ❤️

It’s sooo hard to review this without giving away anything!! So ….less is more here… 🀫… Nora is just a normal mom of two… living life.. in a normal town.. doing normal things..😬…then her jerk of a husband leaves her… but Nora has the last laugh…πŸ˜‰…she writes about their life.. and well.. it gets picked up for a major πŸŽ₯ movie!! You go girl!! πŸ‘‹ Bye bye Ben!! πŸ˜‚

Suddenly the “sexiest man alive” is walking across her lawn.. as he is the star of her movie! 😍 This is where I have to stop! πŸ˜‚πŸ€ Just know… things went really sideways.. and well… I got really upset..🀫

This ending!!! I will sum it up..πŸ˜ πŸ˜πŸ€¨πŸ€”πŸ™„πŸ₯°πŸ₯°πŸ₯°πŸ₯°πŸ₯°

All the stars ⭐️ for this one! Now I know why this has a ton of 5 stars reviews!! Loved it!! Go Nora!! πŸ™ŒπŸ™Œ This book was just what I needed!

❤️❤️ Have you read this yet? Is it on your list? Have you ever been so angry at a character?πŸ™„πŸ˜‚ I got pretty worked up! 🀷‍♀️ What are you reading tonight??

MY THOUGHTS

Thank you so much Partner @bibliolifestyle @harperperennial for this gorgeous gifted copy and having me along on this book tour!!πŸ₯° Pub date: August 2nd! Out nowπŸŽ‰

Have you guys met the new couple over at 9 Skeleton Place? I have!! They are just the cutest couple! 😍Saffron “Saffy” and Tom are just the nicest… and they are expecting! 🀰

What a shock it must have been to be in the middle of renovating their new place… and finding bodies…😳…buried in the garden πŸͺ΄ πŸͺ¦ OMG…😧Who is buried in the garden?? Who did it??? How did the nosey neighbors… not see a thing??πŸ€”πŸ€”πŸ€”

Certainly grandma πŸ‘΅ Rose 🌹.. the previous owner wouldn’t have had anything to do with this heinous crime?! Did she know bodies were buried in her backyard? Will we ever know??? Gran Rose can’t even remember her own daughter?πŸ˜₯

I loved this slow burn πŸ”₯ … creepy vibe mystery..it was sooo TWISTED!!! The further we get into the story.. the more twisted it got! 😳

So many twists… and of course… the bodies in the backyard..πŸͺ¦… made for a fantastic read!! I really enjoyed this one and definitely recommend it!! 4.2 rating on Goodreads!! Just saying… it’s a good one!! I mean I was sold at bodies in the garden.πŸ˜‚πŸ€·‍♀️

The Family Remains by Lisa Jewell

About the book:

From the #1 New York Times bestselling author Lisa Jewell comes an intricate and affecting novel about twisted marriages, fractured families, and deadly obsessions in this standalone sequel to The Family Upstairs.

Early one morning on the shore of the Thames, DCI Samuel Owusu is called to the scene of a gruesome discovery. When Owusu sends the evidence for examination, he learns the bones are connected to a cold case that left three people dead on the kitchen floor in a Chelsea mansion thirty years ago.

Rachel Rimmer has also received a shock—news that her husband, Michael, has been found dead in the cellar of his house in France. All signs point to an intruder, and the French police need her to come urgently to answer questions about Michael and his past that she very much doesn’t want to answer.

After fleeing London thirty years ago in the wake of a horrific tragedy, Lucy Lamb is finally coming home. While she settles in with her children and is just about to purchase their first-ever house, her brother takes off to find the boy from their shared past whose memory haunts their present.

As they all race to discover answers to these convoluted mysteries, they will come to find that they’re connected in ways they could have never imagined.

In this masterful standalone sequel to her haunting New York Times bestseller, The Family Upstairs, Lisa Jewell proves she is writing at the height of her powers with another jaw-dropping, intricate, and affecting novel about the lengths we will go to protect the ones we love and uncover the truth.
